Family Constellation

Healthy Body, Mind & Spirit
“ When the family has been brought into its natural order, the individual can leave it behind
while still feeling the strength of his family supporting him/her. Only when the connection to his family is acknowledged,
and the person’s responsibility seen clearly and then distributed, can the individual feel unburdened
and go about his personal affairs without anything from the past weighing him down or holding him/her back. ”

Bert Hellinger

Systemic Family Constellation in Geneva

By Sidonie Decourt, trained by Michaël Katzeff, following Bert Hellinger’s principles.

The family constellation is a brief therapy with the main objective of restoring natural family order allowing each member of the family assuming his/her assigned role. This method raises the awareness of the family interaction between each other. It reveals dynamics which link us unconsciously to our ancestors and past forgotten incidents allowing each individual resuming his/her “right” position.

Perhaps we suffer unknowingly a grief or a trauma affecting a member of the family (suicide, rape, exclusion, crime, abandon…). If the trauma is difficult to bear, it may be consciously or unconsciously occulted by the individual.

Lineage and hereditary psychological disorders are taken in account with more importance by practitioners.

Pain and trauma could be passed on from one generation to the next. In fact, issues with health, relationships, and career may actually be inherited. Maybe your ‘issues’ are not your own. What may have been a life saving response in a past generation, becomes life depleting in this generation.

Is your sentimental life a disaster? Do you carry an unexplained sadness in yourself? Are you depressed? Do you have an unexplained feeling of fear or loneliness? Do you often have a feeling of abandonment? Are there repetitive diseases, accidents, suicides in your family? Are your professional failures multiplying? Did you miss your father or mother? Do you have any self-destructive behavior and/or one or several addictions?

Unconsciously, we relive our mother’s depression. We repeat our father’s disappointments. We replicate the failed relationships of our parents or grandparents. Anxiety, fear, financial worries, depression, illness and unhappy relationships can all be part of our unconscious inheritance.

The family constellation therapy gives us the possibility of perceiving a different and new image, to reveal and resolve difficult situations, in using liberating and healing words.

By acting from the bottom of our heart and soul, we can give a different dynamic that is more nourishing and fulfilling to our life.

Cette nouvelle dynamique permet de rompre le cycle répétitif de certains événements et d’acquérir une meilleure place au sein du système familial.

Our path gets clarified, our tasks simplified, our body becomes healthier and our life lighter.

This work is accomplished with respect, care and without judgment to all participants.
